In Vitebsk, from March 1 to 25, 2013, my third personal exhibition took place. The general tone and theme of this event sounded like “Dialog”. It was within the framework of this familiar word that the exposition was carried out.
The official opening took place in the Vitebsk Art Museum on Friday, March 1 at 16.00.
At the opening, you and I saw in real time the magic of the marvelous and ancient concept of “dialogue”. The word dialogue itself comes from the Greek Διάλογος – conversation, conversation. In the ordinary sense, it is understood as a literary or theatrical form of oral or written exchange of statements (remarks) between two or more people. And in the philosophical and scientific sense, as a rule, under the concept of dialogue, they see a specific form and organization of communication, communication.
Dialogue is not just a word or concept, it is not just a form of oral or written exchange of statements. Dialogue is something much more, it is a part of language and speech, it is a part of our life, without which we cannot exist. It is through such an unpretentious and ordinary process for each of us that we exchange information, emotions and feelings. After all, if we imagine such an insanely terrible situation when dialogue disappears from our lives for good… No, even thinking about it is scary. In such a world, people will never be able to just talk, exchange opinions, and will never be able to explain their feelings and experiences. Such a world should not exist and will not exist as long as there is such a simple concept as dialogue, without which people will simply stop hearing and understanding each other.
Thus, the word dialogue carries the deepest meaning, which anyone can understand. And everyone had their own perception. In my exhibition exposition, I presented my vision and understanding of this concept. It happens very different. Sometimes quite real, and sometimes a little mythical, sometimes slips from the very tips of the fingers, and then suddenly explodes with all its brightness of emotions…
Following the opening of the exhibition, a short video was filmed:
